Over time most jewellery will develop burnished areas, small abrasions and a surface patina, evolving with wear. This will develop differently dependent your individual use of your items.

If you’d like to delay this process: avoid applying lotions, perfumes, soaps and other chemicals when wearing, and keep away from moisture and chlorine.

When not in use, jewellery should be stored in a soft, clean, dry, dark place.

To reverse tarnishing, solid metal jewellery (not gold plated items) may be gently cleaned with a soft polishing cloth or a toothbrush and soap. Feel free to get in touch for more tips on this.

Some of  my items are more delicate than others, I offer a repair and resurfacing service for damage occurred over time/through extensive wear. This service incurs a small fee negotiable on enquiry.

Please contact me directly for queries on how to care for brooches, as thesecan be especially delicate and all have unique charactaristics.
