Eleanor is an artist jeweller whose work surrounds the human relationship with the natural world- the enjoyment of seeking it and the scientific desire to collect and research on it.
She produces wearable sculptures often inspired by miniature creatures and curiosities in nature. Her pieces are intended to be just as beautiful when they are being worn as when they are off the body, and to spark curiosity in their viewers.
She is interested in the contrast of hard metal and soft, natural textures, and often works with fine mesh, delicate cut outs and thin wire to blend one into the other.
Each piece is entirely handmade by Eleanor in her Glasgow studio, marrying traditonal tecniques with modern technology such as laser welding.
